Last October 29 was a big day for UERMMMC as the College of Physical Therapy together with the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the College of Medicine again brought another distinguished guest to talk about recent advances in Medicine in the person of Dr. Brian O'Young. He talked about the Spinal Segmental Sensitization (SSS) Approach for Myofascial Pain Syndrome.

Dr. O'Young is an accomplished physiatrist in his own right. He is currently a clinical associate professor at the New York University School of Medicine. He is also part of the faculty of NYU Kathryn Walter Stein Chronic Pain Laboratory. He practices as an attending physician at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine and at the NYU Downtown Hospital. The book: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Secrets has Dr. O'Young as its chief editor.

Dr. O'Young was warmly received by the school, by the administration, employees and students as he talked about the topic at hand. Dr. Josephine Bundoc introduced the speaker to the audience. Our very own, Dr. Rene Punsalan, Head of the Department of Neurology and Dr. Frank Nacario, staff of the Department of Anesthesiology formed the panel of Medical Specialist Reactors.
